The EPA’s development of PFAS treatment regulations and requirements are moving at fast pace.  The EPA is currently working on a drinking water rule that will set limits for the treatment of PFAS in drinking water systems.

The US Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy reached out the MSA to see if the MSA would be willing to volunteer to be a Small Entity Representative (SER) to the Panel for the PFAS National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) rule development.  The purpose of the Panel is to provide a report to the EPA team that is developing the PFAS rule.  The PFAS Rule is expected to go out for public comment this fall.  The panel will convene in April and conclude in early June.  At that time the Panel will prepare the report and submit the report to the EPA for consideration in the development of the PFAS Rule.  In general, the point of the SERs is to provide feedback to the panel on the impacts of the upcoming proposed rule on small entities.
